1909 in West Lynden

This 1909 logging bunkhouse turned family home in Lynden, WA was uniquely built out of cinder blocks that were made to look like limestone. Phase one of this historic remodeling project included detailed woodworking and a custom designed fireplace surround, built-ins to hold the client’s many books and more.

The house also boasts an elevated floor solution that mitigated potential moisture coming in from cracks in the original concrete flooring. This floating floor, of sorts, works well to keep carpets and padding dry.
