Whole House Remodel at Lake Whatcom
This Bellingham, WA home was made up of a myriad of walls and closets that blocked beautiful Lake Whatcom views. Our plan used professional engineering to remove walls and keep the second floor in place without using support columns. While we were opening the living spaces we also re-routed and extended plumbing in the ceiling for a future second story remodel.
The staircase was visually minimized (and turned into a focal point) by using stainless steel wires with maple rails for the balustrade. The overall interior finishes in this home remodel were kept light and natural by using maple floors, cherry cabinets and fir doors and trim.
