Painted Lady - Entry Way

The challenge: The owner wanted a two story addition to the house whilst retaining the Victorian architecture and retain the moldings to be reused in the addition.

Details:This two story addition adds more space to the side of the house while enhancing the Victorian architecture of the rest of the home. We added space to both stories plus a bay window to the 2nd. The detail on the original ground level bay window was copied to the upstairs bay window. We also added a porch entry to the right of the new bay windows.

The bay window area on the ground floor was reconstructed to house new room with new insulated windows. The new bay window was constructed on the 2nd floor addition, matching the details of the original windows. The owner chose the new color scheme and is extremely pleased that his house is now a truly "Painted Lady"
