South Hill - Kitchen

The challenge: This large kitchen was created by removing the rear 2 story wall and building a 10' x 32' 2 story addition. Two extremely large wooden beams were placed to support the floor and original roof. This, however, is how the space was created for this beautiful kitchen and small bathroom. The addition on the second level created space for an additional bedroom and large master bathroom. This kitchen addition was part of a whole house remodel

Details:The cabinets are natural maple with black granite countertops. Both sinks are stainless steel undermount. The floor is red oak interlaced with the existing dining room and hallway. The island lights are low voltage lights on a continuous strip with three different types of task fixtures. Full backsplash is granite tile with copper accents.
