Since 1997 Charlie has actively participated in the BIAWC, serving on the board of directors and executive committee, as well as Government Affairs Committee and Remodeling chairman.

In addition to receiving Builder of the Year recognition, Hudson has been Remodeler of the Year multiple times and was Most Valuable Political Player in 2009. Charlie has been association president the past two years and in 2011 also was acting executive officer.
