About Hudson Remodeling
Hudson Remodeling is a full-service residential remodeling contractor that has helped local homeowners expand, modernize and repair their living spaces since 1993.
The company was founded by Charlie Hudson — a licensed contractor who had high standards and a passion for home remodeling. Charlie served as the general manager until he transferred those duties to a longtime employee in 2017.
Over the years, Hudson Remodeling’s team of skilled craftsman and building design pros have used their experience, technical abilities and problem-solving skills to remodel homes in Whatcom and Skagit County communities including Bellingham, Birch Bay, Blaine, Custer, Everson, Fairhaven, Ferndale, La Conner, Lynden, Semiahmoo and more.
Dave James
Project Manager
Dave has been with Hudson Remodeling since 1993 and says he doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon! He supports the entire remodeling team and oversees all of the ongoing projects with his decades of experience as a craftsman. He also works alongside our general manager to draft proposals and estimates for potential clients.
He appreciates the challenges of residential remodeling and the level of detail that is involved in delivering an outstanding finished project. He takes pride in straight grout lines, tight trim joints, and keeping projects on schedule.
Dave enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and playing a round of golf.
Andrey Skripachev
Project Foreman
Andrey has been with Hudson Remodeling since 2006. He is very organized and good with detailed finish work including interior trim installation, sheetrock repair and texture, painting, and tile setting.
He also helps with siding, window and decking installation, and the activities that make those jobs happen.
Demo days are also a favorite. He loves helping the team demo an old kitchen as they prepare to install something fresh and new.
When not helping our clients remodel their homes, you’ll find Andrey at home with his wife and four kids.
John Penrod
Project Foreman
John started his construction career as a teenager and has since worked in residential new construction and remodeling as well as commercial construction. He relies on his decades of experience to lead his team on projects from start to finish.
His favorite part of the remodeling process is seeing the progress of something being built, and he thrives on the creative challenges of remodeling, especially when homeowners want to try something different or unique.
In his free time, John enjoys spending time with his wife and cats, experimenting in the kitchen, crafting, and tending to his garden. He and his wife are also avid Seahawks fans and have been season ticket holders since 2007!
Charlie Hudson
Founder
Charlie was the founder of Hudson Remodeling and for many years he managed all remodeling projects, serving in the role of project manager. He currently oversees the vision and direction of the company, working closely with the rest of the team.
Remodeling has been his passion for decades; it has challenged him and provided great satisfaction over the years.
Charlie lives with his wife Jan in a remodeled 1910 farmhouse. Together they have four grown daughters and a handful of grandchildren. When he’s relaxing you’ll see him keeping up with the baseball scene.
